  1. I found this product easy to use but the sound quality was very disapointing. The bass and treble are very distorted beyound mid volume. So this speaker dosn’t fit my needs. Rating: 2 / 5

  2. We have multiple uses for these speakers – the reason that we purchased them was a quick solution for two public events where we wanted to avoid wiring issues. We looked at what is commercially available and wanting something with absolutely NO WIRES and thought we would give these a try. Realizing that you need two of these to get stereo with ordered 2 units.

Overall the construction of speakers is substantial (though in plastic) – 6 Size 6 batteries are needed to power each speaker w/out AC adapter(incl).

Hook up into your Stereo / iPod/iTouch/iPhone / DVD / CD / Computer is a snap with a mini stereo And rt. & left phono-plugs (typical 3ft set included) Either system plugs into the speaker’s RF send unit which is AC powered. Line out is best – or manage the output of your stereo source to avoid over amplification in front of the FD distribution.

Next you run off to the speakers to turn them on w/ either AC adapter (supplied) or by batteries (purchased separately). Each speaker can be left / mono / right channel set and comes with its own IR remote control. Turn on the speaker’s power and adjust the volume with either the remote control or push buttons on each speaker. Each speaker also has an LED blue light – useful to keep people from kicking them in the dark corners.

One speaker IR remote will control multiple speakers – just point and control – note: Bright sunlight can reduce the IR control distance (typical of IR units – count on ~ 0-15+ ft) The units are water (and wine/beer) resistant by design.

Overall the sound is pretty good – not concert or studio monitor quality but actually pretty decent. Since the design is made for down casting (speaker faces down with sound cone below to reflect the sound out) they each broadcast sound ~150 degrees on two sides with the structure baffling the other areas a bit. With two speakers strategically placed in just about any environment you can get a good stereo coverage.

We didn’t push the length from the RF sender unit base to see how far they will broadcast before failing – but have had good success line-of-sight at ~ 60 ft. We’ve had no interference from other units that use this same frequency – other then initializing them by turning them off and on again to set the (automated) channels.

If your looking for a versatile, low cost remote (no wire) speaker system these may work for you. The base and high end is workable – we had one opera sequence which cracked consistently on one point of a soprano high end rendition – but the belly dancing, rock, western et. al. music laying in the general non-ear piercing or hugely WA-WA low ranges plays great.

Wishes? Instead of having a remote “In” mini -stereo jack (std) on the speaker it would be nice if they had an out jack for headphones ….

Conclusion … If you want something that’s easy, flexible, with descent sound for not too much these may work for you. If you’re into absolute sound fidelity it might be better to keep looking – or better think about sticking with wires ;-) Rating: 4 / 5

  3. It is good product, I love to place my IPHONE and heard my own music where ever I move in and out my home. I haven’t prove it with batteries, just with regular power but I will put batteries and grab it to the beach or a park to see what happen.

my daughter and I fight to play our IPHONE almost all the time.

  4. We tried everywhere to find a bacini speaker. Found some on e-bay but most are used or do not include all parts. Thanks to Amazon we were able to purchase a very similar speaker ( except this one has a remote, YEA!) and this speaker was less than the few new bacini’s offered on e-bay. Rating: 5 / 5

  5. Easy to use, pretty good sound, just not the range they claim. The transmitter is in my basement and it will not work when its in my garage 40ft away. Rating: 3 / 5
